Fragging Workshop

I'm hoping to bring this with me to the workshop, I have two chunks this size I picked up as $5 rescues. I'd like to remove as much skeleton as possible and have one big chunk and some single mouth frags to grow out/give away if anybody's interested. Here's the catch, the coralite is super thick (I can take another pic if need be) I'm talking 1"-2.5" in places and I'm not sure if a dremel will be able to get through the thicker sections so I'm open to ideas and advice

And I've heard it through the vine there may be wet saw making an appearance. Anyone have an ID on this btw? I was told it was a favia when I got it then later a brain. Ill have to look around some, guessing its a favities of sorts
 
I will give that a try Justin if you are gonna give them out and I think Chris told me that someone is bringing a band saw. That should do the trick, lol

Haha I think it will. I have one secction that I'd like to hold one to and the other pieces will certainly be up for grabs
 
It should be there, unless for some reason it needs to be used that day I should be able to bring it along :-
(I did get your text chris, I was at a wedding this weekend sorry I didn't respond)

And I can't wait, the corals looks great, I can't wait! Thanks again for the special lps additions, and job we'll done on the selection!

Yes, it is a brain coral, I cut it into those pieces. I'm pretty sure it was initially a favia but I'm not positive, we will have to wait and see as it grows out!
 
Cool no better way! I like the pieces Kris they're just too big for me haha you're first in line for a chunk if you want one as you've worked with it before and you're the brain guy. Depending on how we're able to chop it up I see there there being 3 or 4 single mouth frags for anybody who might like one, check the Flickr link if you're curious

If any one is interested I can bring my hammer coral to the workshop and frag a head or two off to trade with someone for whatever they have to add some more variety to my tank. If anyone is interested just leave a post here or message me so I know if I should bring it.
 
Please do not bring a coral you really do not want fragged and would be sorry later.
The benefit of fragging your coral is if :mad2: if you use loss yours someone will have a clone.
I can make a list of who got what for future reference.
It was nice to put some faces to the names at the meeting.
