Hi I am trying to figure out a way to frag some zoas, without using super glue. I would like to be able to say, because I have this fabulous reason, 'going green' or something, but the truth is, IM BROKE! I dont have any money to go buy some stupid 3.00 glue (pathetic, I know) and I would still like to frag them. I thought of fishing line, but the thing Im worried about with it is that the zoa mat thing is so thin, wouldnt the fishing line cut through it? Would the net method work for zoas? I have some fragging supplies, various things, netting (tool), rock rubble, epoxy (dont think epoxy would work for zoos either..), sewing needles, etc. ANY ideas would be much appreciated!! Thanks RC!

Fill a small plastic container with sand, or live rock rubble and cut a bunch of holes it in big enough for water to transfer, but small enough so they don't escape. Give it a few days or weeks and they'll find a place to stick naturally :) and Free

Mounting zoo frags

I just use some bridal veil netting. Place the zoo frag on the plug, wrap securely with netting, attach with rubber band, wait 2 weeks and remove netting and rubber bands carefully. Wait another 2 weeks and frags are secure and happy. Actually the last time I fragged zoos and some green star polyps I secured them to a piece of ceramic tile that was 1x1 inch squares attached by a net on the back. Just placed a few around a 1foot square tile and left them go for 6 months. When whole thing was covered I cut the individual tiles apart for trading. Took some time to grow this way but all frags were generous and healthy. Best part was tile was given to me by a tile man as scrap.

You do know that you can get 3 tubes of superglue gel at the dollar store for just 1$ right? You dont need to buy the special "coral glue" for 4x the price.
