I think I know the basic scrap piece off the mother rock
super glue it to rock...or I could be way way off on this. :(

Help or link please!!!

Yeah, I agree that's a great article and have referred to it several times. However, I was wondering if anyone has any good tips on actually peeling the zoanthid mat off of the rock. I've tried using a scalpel to do that but I seem to be having a hard time getting the mat off cleanly. For some reason, I feel like I'm shredding the mat as I do this. Maybe I'm just not that skilled but does anyone have any advice/tips? Thanks.

I use a chisle to scrape some rock off as well as the mat. Super glue the frag to another rock. I will say that that works great on live rock like Fiji. It doesn't work to well on smooth or very hard rock like marble or limestone.

A chisel sounds like a good idea. On smooth rocks covered in coralline algae (or reef plugs), the scalpel works pretty well. However, with a jagged rock, it's hard to use the scalpel because it obviously doesn't conform to the topography of the rock. I'll try the chisel next time.
