fragging ?

Anyone have an idea who has had sucess how to cut a monti without breaking it into a million pieces? I would rather sell it whole than small frags. Its 8" x 12".

I've seen it in person. It's huge and gorgeous

you can take a small, very fine tooth, hacksaw blade and reach in a cut it along the base, you will to support the colony as it gets to the breaking point, but the whole disc should break free if you can reach the base enough.

I would have to agree with drummer and take it real slow I have moved one whole before not as big as that but i would say 6x8. I would mabe even use a scalpel and just cut the areas that are fused to rock so you can get everything else in one peice

I really like it and dont want to part with it but it grows too fast and shading alot of area that could be used so time to go! Thanks for the advice, I will give it a try in the next few days!

Ok maybe I should frag it rather than trying to break it off whole, I will just cut some frags off and sell them for roughly $2.00 a square inch until that bottom plate is gone. I also will have to do the same for the orange one next to it if anyone is interested.
