Do a search there are plenty of info out there. There is even a forum just on Coral Propagation and Aquaculture .

this is a very broad question. YOu have to be more specific in what type of coral you want to know how to frag.

LPS?
SPS?
shrooms?
leathers?

they all are fragged different

you can cut shrooms in half or queaters with an exacto nice. Then put them into a container over some rubble and they will attach.

Candy corals can be cut with sharp scissors or fragging tool, which is much better. Then glued to rubble by thier skeleton.

Do the same with birdnests, montipora digitas


Chalices and oxyporas, I use a dremel tool to cut them and them snip the flesch with a razor. Again glue skeleton to rock.

Leave all these frags in water they are use to with lots of flow. Thats my experience and I have not lost any frags yet.
