What type of gorgonian are you looking frag? They are all fragable, but the optimum mounting techniques can vary a little.

Find a good spot with a strong central axis that you use as the main attachment point I've also found that with purple gorgonians (similar to sea fans when it comes to mounting techniques) that you can use plain white tile grout to mount them in a hole without stripping the outer layer off.
