I also have the Tyree LE true Undata from reeffarmers.com. I can't get a good photo of it, but it is orange/tan with white polyps and a purple growing edge. 1" frags for $50. I'll try to get a better photo of it tonight.

PM me for any more info.
Regards, Joe

I would like a frag of the blue zoos w/ approx. 10 polyps please. Will paypal immediately upon confirmation. Thanks.

All PMs replied to. I guess I underpriced the Tubs, as they are almost all accounted for. Hey, the other frags look good as well!!! By the way, I forgot to mention that I am located in Glenview, near 294 and Willow Rd.

Sorry to bust your bubble but those are not true Tubs, true tubs have light brown skirts. Some people call those Supermans but it is just a Zoanthus Sp.

Those are tubs blues. I have some sitting in my tank right now that are the real deal and they are identical to his pic. My skirt is slightly lighter in color but if you know anything about zoas then you'd take into account color morphing due to different lighting setups. Please don't bash someone's frags if you don't really know. Here is a pic of John Susbilla's frag, right off the site that he sells them through.

I bought them last year as 4 polyps of Tubs, so that is where I stand. I also did not price them at $10-$15 a polyp either. Placed high, the blue turns sky blue, and the skirt lightens up, but I don't like the look. I have them at the botton almost under a ledge. To be honest, I don't know if my tort is a Cali tort or not. I bought it as one, but am not coral savvy enough to the difference. Thanks dragonfish for the backup, I hope they're doing well in your tank. By the way, my zoos look like John Susbillas on my monitor.
Regards,
Joe

All PMs replied to. (I think). Whew. Lots of requests. As of now, the large Cali torts and "Tubs" are sold out. PLent of other stuff left, plus I'll post more.
Regards,
Joe

DragonFish: I was never bashing them.

jmcmahon66: I am sorry if you took it the wrong way. I am not saying that your doing it. But there are many people saying they got Tubs blues and they sell it to other people thinking they got original tub's. The only true way to know for sure if you got them from John Susbilla himself. I am not saying 100% they are not but from the picture and your description they dont match. Please dont take this the wrong way. I dont mean to start a fued.

For the most part I've found that usually the people who tell you that you don't have "true" something are the ones who paid an outrageous amount for the original and want to maintain the mystique so they can charge a lot for their frags. The problem here is that this particular strain of zoa is very fast growing so it changed hands quite a bit since the original frags were released. I think we need to begin to accept that naming zoas was probably not the best idea due to this exact problem. When I started we called our zoas "blue" or "orange" not Eagle eye or Bam Bams. There was no arguing wether something was the original or not, we just liked it or didn't and that decided the price. It simply amazes me how much prices have inflated over the course of the past five years. Acans going for upwards of $1000 a colony??? Someone would have to be insane to pay that. These corals were in the hobby years ago, and would sell for under $100 for a colony. Things didn't start getting out of hand until the first "named" corals started popping up like PPEs.

No offense taken my friend. I certainly did not get them from John, but I didn't get my PPE from Blane Perrin either, nor did I get my Superman from (the superman guy, I forget his name). I did buy from reputable dealers who advertise them as original on thier websites. For me, that claim and their appearance are enough proof that I feel comfortable saying I have Tubs zoos. Thanks.
