Frags for the Offering

I have four frags of a nicely rainbow colored Mycedium elephantotus. This is a link to the species at AIMS AIMS Link

It likes fairly heavy water flow, nothing direct, but will handle medium flow. I have had it shallow about 12" directly below a 250w halide, shallow directly below a 175w halide, and under 80w T5's, and under 55w PC's. What I'm saying is that it will handle a wide range of lighting. It is currently shallow and a little offset from a 175w halide, with side light from a second 175w halide.
I have four frags available for immediate pick-up.

1) $20 Frag is approximately 1" x 2".
2) $20 Frag is approximately 1" x 2".
3) $10 Frag is approximately 1" x 1".
4) $10 Frag is a little hard to get the size because it is sort of whirling. But it's probably about the same size as #3.

sweet mycedium, marc! i have the exact same piece (green rings around the mouths, purple base) but with pinkish-red mouths. very nice coral. one of my favorites.

When is it ok to add corals like that to a new tank, been cycling for about 3 weeks, nirites or at 0ppm and nirates is at about 20ppm. Does that type live under a 265w PC fixture?

Very nice piece.. Does it grow fast? I have a purple with neon green eye piece. It grows pretty slow for me but everything grow slow in my tank except Kenya tree

It grows fairly slow, maybe a 1/4" every other month.

The eyes I think are trying to go pinkish, if you squint. But it gets several colors going and just looks really cool with the nose like corralites.
