Frayed fins on pj cardinal

Hi, I'll just get right to it
I have a 180 gal w ~30gal sump
Live rock and fish only
Nitrite 0
Nitrate a bit high around 30ppm (I have been out of town while parents watched the tank)
1blue hippo tang
1fox face
2ocellaris clowns
3 pj cardinals
Hermits and nassarus snails.
Tank is about 3yr
I noticed today that one of my pj cardinals has some frayed fins it's just one of the three and he eats and swims normal w the the other two pjs. I'm not sure what's going on could it be the high nitrates as the culprit? I'm worried if something is going on in my tank because my blue tang has been suffering from HLLE since I transfered him from my old 90 gal (I think he had hlle slightly in his 90gal tank) I stopped running carbon and have been dosing seaweed salad w aminomega to control his condition (he still acts like king of the tank) I tested for stray voltage as well and there was none but I placed a grounding probe just incase.
I'm just concerned that there could be something going on in the tank that I'm not catching since two of my guys are having issues. Any tests or ideas that I should consider?
Thanks for any help
