I bought this angel fish from Neptune Aquatics about 2 months ago. Since then it has eaten over $400 worth of acans. I've been going to Neptune for about 10 years. I don't buy stuff on line. I pretty much only buy stuff from Robert because I've trusted him and his staff to give good advice and help me stock my tank with corals and fish.

I had a tang die and wanted to get something different. I spent almost 15 minutes with a very nice Neptune staff member picking out a new fish. He asked all about my tank size and other types of fish to make sure compatible. He didn't ask about corals. I've since learned this angel loves to eat corals. Yes, I should do research myself, but getting good advice is why I go to Neptune.

I emailed Robert over a week ago to ask about this, but didn't get a reply.

So, if you can catch it, it's yours. Just pm me.

Use a Fish trap

Use a Fish trap

I used my fish trap to catch all my unwanted fish without disturbing any of my corals or rocks.

I made a minor mod to the trap door stop for it to work well though.

Here's a pic of my mean damsel caught in the trap.

Good luck !

Majestic angel. Def a lps eating machine. I have a fish trap in the east bay if you'd like to borrow to catch. Put a market clam in there. They can't resist and swim in immediately.

I know that was not fun. Next time don't blast the fish store. We all know those kids are trying but don't know. You ultimately control what goes into your fish tank. Do your own research and you should never have any problems.

My blast to fish store was also about not getting any response when I emailed the owner who I have been doing business with for 10 years and thousands of dollars. The owner also does not take phone calls any more. I drive an hour to go to Neptune instead of online to get their advice. That is why I'm willing to pay their higher prices. They shouldn't be advising to get something expensive when it isn't right for someone's tank. Especially when I spent quite a bit of time with the "kid" picking out a fish. At that point, he shouldn't say anything. They have had a lot of staff turnover and it's just not the same. Yes, I learned the hard way by losing over $500 worth of acans.

At this point, I'll be going to Infinity Aquariums. Steve and Jimmy used to work at Neptune and they opened their own shop. Their service and advice are the best right now.
