Free ferret

I found a ferret on morning about two weeks ago just before my shift ended at the fire station, the poor animal had almost starved to death. It is eating well and gaining weight, very playful and mischeivious. I need to find it a good home if anyone is interested or knows anyone that may want it please let me know.

you found a ferret at a fire station?? i had several in college and i thought you could only get them at a pet store?? that's strange.

if i didn't have 3 dogs, 1 cat, 2 kids, many tanks and a grumpy husband i'd probably take him

You know I work on a military base. I'm sure some one let her go when they were moving.

The other animals, my tanks and my wife are the reasons we are giving her away. My kids are not happy she is getting a new home.

Weel I found the critter a good home. A lady in a nearby town that already has a female ferret took her for a playmate for her other ferret.

Excellent. I would have spoken up, but I think I'd been shot by my wife. I raised ferrets growing up, and have had a few in the last 15 years. They are definitely better off if there are two of them to keep each other company.

I hated to give her away but we just could not keep her. She was a lot of fun while we had her here.

They are definitely a lot of fun. The problem is that most people don't realize what they are getting into, and can't/won't do what is needed to keep them happy and healthy... I'm glad she found a good home.
