Free Mantis near Baltimore (Reisterstown)

After much strategy and one sore finger I finally caught the mantis in my tank yesterday. He (or she) is your standard brownish green model, 2-2.5" I'd wager.

None of the local fish stores want to trade and I don't really have the right setup to care for him at my city place in DC. I don't want to destroy him--I figure it's not his fault he's here!

So, if anyone wants to pick him up, shoot me a note and we can arrange something. I'm leaving for a couple hours (LFS/Lowes fix ) but I'd like to have him adopted today if possible. I may even throw in a cold beverage for your efforts!

Well I'm back in MD and the Mantis is still alive in his specimen cup.

My buddy has been doing water changes 3 times a day to keep the guy alive.

Whoever can get here to take him (don't wanna deal with shipping) this weekend he's yours.

I may be intrested if you don't find a buyer... i live in Maryland also. Can you post a picture of the one you have? I have a 29g bio cube and plan on putting a Mantis shrimp with a few other things in it. In fact just setting it up now .
