Free Orange Caps

Since I haven't had pleasant experiences lately trying to sell coral... I have up for grabs for free or any donation you would like to offer, any size chunk of the orange caps you see below. I'll break it off once you get here, all I ask is that you bring your own container/bag/whatever, for transport.

the toadstool...... well it was doing great, till my rabbitfish decided to eat it one weekend. My wife was devastated.... she actually cried.

Definitely might have to make way over there to get some caps. I wanna see if SPS is safe with these fish here

What a nice coral, Can I ask why you want to break it up? I would be interested in buying the whole thing intact. Are you selling any of the Red Planet?

LostmyZ, that's definitely a crying shame... but I may be fragging the toadie again soon... though it sounds like it may not be a good idea for you to have more to feed to a hungry fish. I'll hold on to a piece of the caps if you really think you may be interested. You were an easy person to deal with on here (not a flake).

Skareef, I am breaking up the caps because its gotten so huge over time that it is shadowing my duncans down below it and they aren't too happy. I know it will grow back in a hurry so I won't miss it for long. I've got two frags of the red planet already fragged and happily growing on frag plugs, or I can cut new pieces (however I don't have any cutting tools). $10 per pre-cut frag of red planet or a little more for bigger pieces (probably wouldn't charge more than $20 for a decent multi-branch piece if wee can find a way to cut it)...

Well I have upped the rabbitfishes food intake so maybe he won't chow down on it this time! But I'd love to give it another try. My wife would be happy. I would definitely like to try my luck with an orange cap. Also I can bring over my sps bone cutters for you to use to

Lostmyz, I'll let you know when I frag the toadstool again (it may be a couple weeks before I get around to it and for them to heal enough to start life in a new tank. I still have some caps and would love if you could bring the cutters to frag some more red planet (it's already grown as high as it can, with some tips trying to poke out of the water).

Nanojosh, my tank is set up as a peninsula with two maxi jet 1200s on one end. The tank is only 30" long so the current from the maxi jets "bounces" off the far end and swirls back (though I'm not 100% sure this is what's creating the shape of the caps, it definitely has shaped the red planet colony though, making it lean back)

Nibrown it was great meeting you and I hope things do well in your tank! Keep me posted on progress!

Hi there neighbors! I just wanted to drop a line to say thats some awesome pieces you are just giving away... I already have a giant orange monti and the red planet I got at the auction awhile back is doing great so I dont need any of these. Seems like we are getting some westsiders back in the mix and I wanted to say HI!! One of these days I will throw together a BBQ FRAG SWAP or something. I also have a plumbing agenda I was hoping some of you all could come over and help me with.... "If I cook...they will come...." HA HA HA!! Thanks agin for sharing! This is why I love this group!

What plumbing issue do you have Areucrazy? I am at home till the 24th bored outta my skull. I could help you out depending on what it is.

I like Glendale its nice and quiet and people are great! i am here off and on like every few months for another year. it is nice that there is a little community here in Glendale. A Glendale Frag swap would be great. I remember there was a thread around this time last year or maybe it was November about a Swap or Meeting at Oggi's on 67th and the 101 (beardsley)
