FREE stand design software

I thought all you DIY'ers who are thinking about building your own stand might be interested in a new Google tool.

It's called Sketch-up and can be downloaded FREE from Sketch-up

Its really easy to use and a nice way of visualizing your custom stand design.

I'm going to use it to design my new stand and thought I'd practice by drawing my current stand.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks really cool. But easy to an engineer is different than easy to everyone else.

I'm an engineer but not a very smart one. Try the program out, its not like a regular CAD program - its designed for your average Joe.

a stand isn't that hard to do if you do a tank under 220 gallon mostly furniture grade plywood and than some normal wood of your choice

If a humble Industrial Engineer like me can handle it, then a simulation and modeling engineer shouldn't have any trouble.
