Free Tds Meter!

i did it and it worked lets just hope we all dont randomly see crazy charges a month or two down the road as some hoax cause this is just too good to be true..did u guys actually get ur meter yet?

I tried it as well, but I already had a Buy.com account. I set up a Google account as it required, and it looked like it was going to fly....then I got an email that I still have to pay $10.00 because I had a Buy.com account already.

Hey, don't worry it's no hoax. Got a note today that mine is shipped, but my gf is out of town with the mail box key, so I don't know if it has come in yet.

I follow this web stuff pretty closely. Google is getting something from you because in the future any time you go to buy something online and see google check up your more likely to use it since you already signed up with them. More people they get using it then in the future they can start to get money out of it.

Buy.com also gets people used to there website which makes costumiers more comfortable and more likely to buy from them in the future. The company that makes the TDS meters may have gone out of biz, or they may be a start up company trying to get there name out there. I didn't bother to do any research on the product. Free is free.

anyone else get their meter yet?
I tested my tap water, and it varies from 123 to 136. My water comes from a well.

Hi Folks,

This seems to be a joke. I just got notice that they canceled my order. I guess I am out the $10.00 credit that they gave us.

I guess this was too good to be true,

WAT A PIECE OF CRAP....i got tap water readings that have a 50 degree difference..anywhere from 180-230....and can measure saltwater with this thing? cause it says error everytime....i gotta make some freshwater and see what it says....but its im glad it was free

Hmm I read another thread and they said after cleaning the probe with alcohol it seemed to give more accurate results?

mine seems to be working .... be interesting to get some of these together @ a meeting to compare their accuracy ....

I just got mine yesterday and haven't had a chance to check it. One other person I know couldn't order it because they waited too long. Another person I know ordered it and then got an e-mail that they ran out and $0 would be credited back into their account.

Perhaps everyone should bring their's to the meeting and we can guess how long ago Al should have replaced his prefilters. :-D jk

I checked my tap water which is filtered with a charcoal filter and it was 205. My RO/Di which was made on Wednesday 11-21 was at 12ppm. Not too bad for 15 month old filters. When the new ones get here I will test them to see the difference.
