I'm heading soon back to one of my old stomping grounds in the lowcountry of South Carolina.
One saltwater tidal creek in particular tends to be a place I can literally (and I do mean literally in the strictest sense) fill a 5-gallon bucket with ghost shrimp in the 1" and under range.
(the trick is to catch low tide on a HOT steamy day, and look for a pool in the shade, which is where they ALL will head... and use a big dipnet)
I was wondering if I had put, say, 4 or 5 quart bags of these on ice immediately and then freeze them 6-10 hours later (after the drive home) if they would still be a good food source for fish like my fuzzy dwarf lion or bigger LPS and anemones.
Bringing more than 100 of them home alive is out of the question with the puny car we have at the moment
