Im close to being ready to fill my new tank up but I will need about 80g of saltwater with a salinity of 1.025.

What would be the best way of going about getting it? I don't have an RO/DI unit so that's out. Best transportation option? All I have is 5g buckets and jugs.

We I did my 210 with 125 sump the lfs loaned me 5 gallon containers took me 5 trips to do it they just wanted them back the same day I also used home depot buckets but spilled a lot of water using those not sure if any lfs near you would do that the one I used went out of business.

5 gallon buckets is how I did it! Lowes buckets with lids.

I had a 50 barrel and would run 7 buckets (35 gls) and fill up the 50 and add salt and a Mag 7 to circulate. I would then make another 7 bucket run. Test the 50gl salinity and add to the my tank (110 gl with 40 gl sump). Continue until all filled up! LOL

lol and its so fun doing this plus you dont need to go the gym for a day or 2 , but on the brightside you wont have to do it again until youhave to breakdown the tank

If its a new setup you can buy rodi freshwater and mix the salt in the tank. Just remember to add salt to water, not the other way around. 5g buckets as already mentioned.

Maybe someone that services tanks would be able to do something check cl and look up saltwater maintenance companies worth a shot

I think Aquatouch rents out a large water container (maybe a hundred gallons) and a pump. You just need a truck.

I have a 55 gallon barrel, 5 five gallon jugs, rodi water and a brand new bucket of red sea coral pro salt. I can deliver and we can mix in my 20 gallon can for $125

I looked at having a service deliver salt water in conjunction with weekly tank maintenance when I was on vacation. The price for a one time visit was quoted at ~$140.

I'd go the bucket & jugs route if you don't take up on his offer!

When I was setting up my 110 I bought pre-cycled water from Reef Monsters, they had enough jugs for me to get the 110 gallons in one trip. Nice jugs with screw on caps so they didn't spill on anything. They didn't charge me for the containers either, they just have them to lend out if you need them, just need them back same day.
