Freshwater Dip and Firefish

Getting a Helfrichi in the next week or two, and am trying to find any information about how they fare with freshwater dips. Experience with the red or purple would also be appreciated.

My plan for QT and prophylactic treatment is acclimation followed by a day or two to settle in and start eating. Freshwater dip (temp pH adjusted ofc) with methylene blue and aeration. Then placed into new holding vessel to start tank transfer. Prazipro will be dosed as appropriate during the transfers. At this point I will likely add to display or continue observation/treatment if any complications or abnormalities occur. Based on what I've read this should eliminate common, easily treatable parasites.

I've read that its a fairly solid solution to external parasites that is usually pretty tolerated by most fish. Seems like a good candidate for prophylactic treatment.

IMO, Formalin bath is a much more safer way to go for external parasites. For example, with my QT process, I do a Formalin bath for 50 mins upon arrival, then into TTM. During the beginning of the 2nd and 4th transfer, I dose Prazi-Pro. Completion of TTM, fish goes into QT with a dose of CP for 21 days and 2 weeks after that for observation.

my ttm is similar....
i use formalin 50 minute before the first transfer (at hour 70 of being in first tank)
transfer fish into tank 2, try to get them to eat, once they eat i add prazi pro
transfer fish into 3rd tank and do formalin at hour 70
transfer into 4th tank, feed then add prazi pro

i dont qt fish after ttm i just chuck em in the main tank

i just put 2 clowns through a 49 minute formalin bath at 1ml per gallon...they acted like nothing was wrong, they even ate a couple pellets 30 minutes after i transferred em
