Freshwater fish stores

Can anyone recommend any decent ones in the south burbs, if they have live plants would be a plus.

Scott pet shop but I dont know if he is even around any more. He is up by ogden

Yeah I would of agreed on the Westchester one back in day, but last year I was at the one on Ogden and it left a little to be desired.

Tropiquatics in Lombard has a great freshwater selection. Also, Aquarium Adventure is really good for freshwater and has lots of plants

Check out plantedtank.net...the locals are much more active than when I started on there, so you'll have good luck finding some nice stuff between hobbyists and lfs. Golden Aquarium is nice if you happen to be on the southside of Chi-town.

have you checked out odd lot pet shop? it is at 76th and harlem kinda behind haunted trails mini golf. not sure if they have plants. they also sell some marine fish. there is also park pet shop at 104th and kedzie and palos pet shop 127th and ridgeland just west of dominicks. palos used to have plants but i have not been there in a while. odd lot had a good fish selection.

Odd lot is your best bet if you looking for anything out of the ordinary south..Got most if not all of these from there. But aquarium adventure has the best freshwater plant selection in Bolingbrook.
