These are one of the mildest mannered of the Pseudochromis. The captive bred ones are easy to keep and are already adapted to a captive diet. I've kept several over the years and they've all been easy to keep.
I got an ORA fridmani and had him for about 18 monts before he jumped ...kept him in a 20g with a black perc and around 22lbs of rock...never had aggression problems and ate anything - mysis, spectrum pellets, formula flake, etc. Great fish that I highly reccomend.
I have a mating pair now , I have had four over the years.
Great fish, there will always be room in my reef for these dottybacks. In a small tank, they will not tolerate similar body types so keep that in mind, some one will die! Lots of rockwork will ease that teritorial feeling for them.
They can be timid and vary as individuals in terms of eating. My male is large and fat, but I rarely see him eat as he won't compete with the other fish. The little female will rip mysids out of the mouth of anyone in the tank
