My clarkii fry hatched about 15-30 minutes after lights out Wednesday night. We collected a whole bunch of them with the dish-scooping-and-a-flashlight method.
Well.... The next morning I found out that my new heater wasn't working correctly and cooked the little fry at 93 all night.
Last night I was using the flashlight on the tank after lights out because I was doing a bunch of work on the tank during the day and there were a couple dozen fry still living in the tank under the rocks. I feel sorry for them as I know they aren't getting enough food in there.
hopefully I'll have things straightened out within the next 8 days for next Saturday's hatch. Unless they decide not to lay tonight. I added a tile and that's a possiblity.
