Friend or Foe

I have hundreds of these (spiders ?) living in and around my corals. Are they good or bad?

I'm sure others will weigh in, but to me it looks like a Brittle Starfish, which I would think is a good thing... Not sure, as I'm far from an expert.

I had a very nice birdnest which did not make it and these things were all over it.

Looks like a micro star to me, very good to have in the tank.

brittle stars, they were probably eating dead/dying flesh on the birdsnest.

They are a nice addition to a cuc. If they were all over your birdsnest it was probably already dead and they were eating the dead stuff on it.
