Fringe Reef eel island

I've done some searches and haven't found anything so Ill ask here.

I'm putting together a 125 2 island tank, but one of the requirements is that I get a golden dwarf moray or a canary moray. I am going two Island, one large shelf, and a smaller low rubble type area for various gorgs.

The large Island I was wondering if anyone has used pvc inside their island to act as not only structure, but a den of sorts for a small moray like this. I would love to hear experiences and see picture of any old salty pros here have done/seen this.

What do you mean when you say islands? Like rock above the water? Not experienced with this.

yeah, 2 piles of LR. i havent done this for saltwater eels, but have done it in a cichlid aquariums containing a gold tulip eel

I am going to use dry rock, probably from macro rocks and bind it together/to the pipe with E-Maroco-400. With the pipe in the rock structure I am hoping to create a warren of tunnels for the eel to use.

I have a skeletor eel that I picked up in July. Set up PVC tunnels under my rocks for the eel to use. It has yet to use them. Tried coaxing him to go inside with food and everything I could think of. He's got his spot under the sand and hes sticking to it. My firefish get more use out of the tunnels.

I still have hope that as it matures and gets bigger it will seek out the PVC but am doubtful.
