I have a small frogspawn frag for like 2 months now and I havent seen much growth to it, i know it makes its own food and i dont feed due to excess nutrients currently in the tank. do i absolutely have to feed to see growth or could i just let it get food through my light. my monti and candy canes are growing pretty rapidly

Sometimes it takes time for the first split, but once that happens youll see alot of growth.

The important things for growth are alk, calcium and magnesium. Have you tested those?

I had a baby single head and it took it forever to split mouths(6months)...and now the heads are actually splitting apart and one of the mouths is actually now splitting again....so just give it time...I know its hard to wait, doesnt happen over night

once you see the first little head there will be like 5 more right behind it. At least thats the case with mine.

The first split is always takes the longest. Make sure your water is perfect and you have enough calcium for it to grow. I have always feed my frogspawn, hammer, and torch VERY tiny meaty stuff and it helps growth alot. But not every feeding attempt is a success.
