Frog Spawn turning white

My Frog Spawn has turned more brownish white about 3 months ago. I beleive the inital reason was the crappy water I was buying. TDS of 630. I have since fixed that and am wondering if this is a comon issue. Along with the bad water came high nitrates and phospates. Is there anything else I can do to get it greener?

You're kidding right? That TDS isn't even safe for human consumption if I remember correctly. My tap water is pretty bad, and it's only 350.

I would do massive water changes, get some phosban and carbon in there ASAP, etc.

Was it doing fine for a while, or is it a new frag? What kind of lighting do you have it under and are the bulbs of an OK age?

Most importantly, what are your levels for nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, and specifically alk, calc, and mag?

He is expelling his zoox, this is a natural thing that they do to save themselves from death, by releasing soem stress of them and take in more nitrogen and less carbon. Its what they do under heavy stress (this includes bad water quality, lighting etc)

I agree with RokleM, and we need your paramaters.

That is what I thought. Here is my tank info:

75 Gallon, 100lbs LR, 5 gallon dsb, 20 gallon Chaeto Refugium, 2 X 150wt Metal Halides, 2 X 130wt Power Compacts, yellow tang, yellow tail damsel, maroon clown, Royal Chromis, 2 Btas, frog spawn, xenai, torch coral, Zoas. Sump and skimmer

I will have the water tested tomorrow, but I do know it is getting much better. I was having a massive hair algae problem, which of course was due tot he water I was BUYING. I tried everything to control it, but what saved my #@$ is the RO/DI unit I bought. I have done 3 20 gallon changes, and have been using it for top off water, and the algae is GOING AWAY. The first time in over a year of hell I can say that.

Do you think the lossing of the Zoox is due to the 600+ tds. Tap water here in Texas due to the drought is push 700 and I test 1000 out of the hose. My ro/DI water is 17-20
