I need help in figuring out what is going on with one of my two anglers. I have two wartskins, of that, one has good structure, not overly puffy, looks to be in fine condition as is his/her respiratory.
Unfortunately the other is in somewhat distress. I noticed about two days ago, this particular one began to lose its shape and became more bloated or rounded; especially in the face. Respiratory increased dramatically and I had no medication at that moment.
I lowered the salinity to 1.018 and reduced temperature by four degrees. While I combed the LFS and pet stores for medication. I thought it was ick or some other parasite or bacteria. I found a tablet at Petsmart called Lifeguard, all-in-one. It says it treas ick, oodinium, fungus milky slime, gill desease, mouth and fin rot, as well as ulcers.
I began to use this tablet and hours later, the respiratory rate decreased, although still faster than the other and I noticed two or three distinct warts, whereas before, they were almost nonexistent due to the swelling.
Now I'm noticing something different, in the rear area of the angler, rectum I believe, it is somewhat inflamed/enlarged. Is this because he had eaten to much therefore this is a gas buildup, or are these eggs? Anything to help reduce stress of my anglers would be greatly appreciated. I have some shots below to give better reference.
Regards
J
I still have four days of treatment left but is there anything else I could do? Please let me know as any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers
