Frogspawn Digesting?

I noticed some brown, string type mucus being expelled from one of the heads of my frogspawn. Is this it digesting its food? Also noted slight brown spots on the head of another. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have never seen brown spots before. Brown ooze or jelly is bad..If the pods are still opening up then maybe it's not bad...keep us posted

Mine expel about a day after I feed them and otherwise seem to be OK, so it seems to me it is not always a sign of stress. Yours however, do not seem to be extending much. Mine looks like this with the pumps off. With pumps on, it is only a little bit smaller:

Lighting is 2x 55 watt PC 10000K/actinic (standard Red Sea Max) and perhaps that affects extension.

I can't comment on the brown spots as I don't recall seeing that on mine.

Thanks gents! I lowered him to the sand bed, he was about 2-3 above it before and have reduced lighting significantly. We will see how this works.
