Can anyone tell me why my froghammer (morph) decided to give me the bird? What do I do about his behavior?

I guess that's why I said "seriously". I couldn't understand your question based on your reefing experience. I can't think of a reason to cut it off and can't think of a reason why others have. Mmmkay, I know that much.There's nothing on that side of the coral to sting. I've heard of people cutting them is why I ask.

Hey drummer, my wall hammer extends a sweeper like that occasionally when I feed the tank. So does my branching. They normally only do that in my tank in the presence of food. They don't leave them out for very long IME. If it stays like that, it would be something new to me.
