Frogspawn Help

It looks to me like something (like an invert) is munching at it during the nite. Try and get a Red Flashlight and point it at the frogspawn when lights are out for a few hours and look to see if there's anything bothering it. All ur Pars look fine nothing to be concerned about at least

I do have 3 peppermint shrimp (or I put 3 new ones in to try and fight the aptasia). We have only see 1, and it is "hanging" out in a small cave about 2" away from the frogspawn.

At night we use a flashlight to try and "spot" things that we cannot see during the day, but have never seen anything on the frogspawn, but it is likely that the shrimp sees us (or the light) long before we see it.

I will try and move the frogspawn farther away, and see what that helps. Also... does a red light keep the fish from "seeing" the light?

What's the update? Did your frogspawn get better?

I have always had really good luck with LPS - especially my frogspawn. My mother colony has been with us for about 3.5-4 years and has grown like gangbusters. The other large colonies in the tank have been fragged from her. Now, we have had several heads on multiple colonies do that gradual disappearing act and others are pale and not extending.

We had some bleaching several months ago but we cut back on hours of light and they greened back up. We also have several candy canes and they look fine.

We've had some problems with pH and alk, but I have been diligent about testing and buffering (that may be another thread). Other params have been good. NO3 creeps up but not more than when they were thriving.
