Frogspawn help

Hi,
1 week ago i bought a frogspawn (non branching), placed at the bottom of my tank under 180W LED's. The polyps has not extended much till now, today i noticed white discharge from one side of the frogspawn, and tht part has got the stinky smell of decaying flesh. I think tht part is dying; is there any way to save this piece. Should i let it be ? The other parts polyps are extending out a bit but not much. Parameters are calcium -440 , alk - 9, nitrates - 5.

Can i save it, will the dead tissues regrow ?

Please help,

thanks,
anil

sounds like a bacterial infection. They often come from injury from rough handling during transport or acclimation and placement in the tank. Siphon off as much of the decaying stuff as you can and place it in an area with gentle currents, then leave it alone and cross your fingers. Sometimes they'll recover and regrow.

Thanks, today I did a 5 minute dip in Melafix and Iodine and left it at the bottom of the tank with low light and low flow. Yet to see how it turned out to be, will update once i reach home.

The frogspawn is looking better now, even though not extending much all heads are out, except on the decayed part. I used a small brush to take of the decaying flesh.
Hope they recover well. Can i feed them right now , or should i wait for them to recover fully. Its been 8 days since I got them from LFS.

its decaying more :-( ... few part is looking ok, should i continue sucking the decaying part out or let it be there , but this might pollute the tank . i hope not much ? Any chance of them to regrow ?
