Current tank stats:
-Running 2 Koralia #3's
-T5 Lighting
-Tank is about 6 months running
-My parameters are where they need to be. I am currently raising my Cal because it's been low recently although my ALk has been normal at 9dkh
-Frogspawn has been in my tank for 2 weeks now. I know it's still relatively new to the tank, but I want to ensure good placement for my coral.
Assuming all para are normal I would look at flow if they recevie to much that could cause them to not open up. I think it would take a lot of direct flow to cause this. Mine is on the bottom of a tank MH but for me they can adjust to about any amount of light .
IMHO they do not need a lot of light but a good amount.
They need enough flow to move the tentacles around gently.
well i have a 20 gal tank with this light http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod/204868/product.web
where should i have my frogspawn at? i have 2 Korilia #1's, a Aqua C Remora HOB Skimmer & a Emperor 280 hang-on filter (phosphate removal & general filtering only, no bio-wheel). so what do you think? where should the coral be? where should i have the korilia's? pointing where? please help.
I have a 10 gallon nano with a rio powerhead on the right side. My frogspawn sits on the left side and the powerhead is pointing straight at it from the right side. My frogspawn currently has 3 heads with 1 splitting. During the day when the lights are on it takes up the whole left side of the tank. I would say that frogspawn doesn't mind a lot of current at all and if you have a place to move yours then do so.
I am just running a 50/50 65 watt bulb.
This was several months ago when it was still small but now that acan and the brain on the left have been moved as the frogspawn covers that whole area.
And heres just a pic of the tank a few months ago for because. It's much more filled out now
