frogspawn stalk losing purple

I got this frogspawn about a month ago. It soft tissue part looks very healthy. However, the purple stalk is well, losing the purple. Also, the small wispy green extensions are receding though new "frogspawn" looking heads are forming. Do I have a problem? Specs are:
30 gal. 4 months old
130w pc
0's for ammonia, nitite, and nitrate
Ca is 420; Alk unknown
I feed formula 1 frozen once a week and plan to start feeding phyto. Other corals include xenia, colt, zoas, and mushrooms-all look good. Fish include 2 false percs.

what you are talking about is green star polyps or gsp for short. do some reading on them and you will know everything is fine.

You can also remove the star polyps by peeling them and placing them into another location in the tank. The polyps will grow over the heads of the frogspawn. You will want to use a rubber band to hold it to the rock until it grows onto the rock. Give it room to grow.

thats definetly gsp, and i nice specamin too. I would remove it as well. As far as the "the small wispy green extensions" sounds to me like feeding tentacles. If they are receding that could be a good thing. they should not be out all the time. If they are out all the time it means you are not feeding properly, or something else is irritating it. It's hard to tell by the pic, but it looks a little deflated in the pic. Do you have a better pic?

Yes, I see now that it is GSP. Thank you for the replies. I was concerned that the frogspawn stalk was receding, mainly because I am using what I think is probably a questionable amount of light. Here is another pic. So, is the purple part of the frogspawn stalk that looks almost like a shell surrounding it part of the GSP? The pic is still a little dark. Perhaps I can take another tomorrow with all lights on. Thanks again.

Yes, the purple part is the GSP mat that spreads over time and the green feeding tentacles come out of that.
The frogspawn would just have normal white coral skeleton.
