Frogspawn

Nor sure why but my frogspawn has a head that came out of its shell? New to the hobby please help. It's very happy but one of the heads just popped out its calcium shell?

I'm not exactly sure why this happens, but it might be a form of reproduction. If that polyp can find a good spot and conditions are right you might have another frogspawn on your hands. In general though, polyp bailout is not really a good thing. GL.

Frogspawn like low light and low flow usually on the sandbed. Where did you have it and what were the conditions of light and flow?

Low light low flow, stock biocube. Had a Rio 10 power head but removed it. I had a calcium spike for a few weeks (2) but I got that straight. But I have lost 3 heads in total so far. My hammer is not happy now as well.

No I don't not at this moment, the spike was around 560ppm. But it seems to be in a better mood. My hammer coral though is now impressed. Waiting for that one to rebound. Water is nitrate 0 ammonia 0 calcium 440 alk 8dkh pH 8.2
