frogspawn

Was it you that picked up that frag from us?

They're very forgiving, are you having trouble with it? In diablitaroja's tank it's in what I would call medium flow, 1/3 of the way up a 55 gallon tank under 2 10k and 2 actinic vhos. I have a single tiny head in my tank about 10" under a 20k 400w halide that appears to be happy, also under medium (or low) flow.

also, if you were to just search for "frogspawn flow" on google it'd be a quick way to come up with good answers to your question.

what i did a was add a powerhead he didnt like that much so i move the frog swawn higher up and and lower flow.

If I remember correctly Frogspawn actually comes from the lagoons. So it probably likes lower flow. I have mine in kind of a med. flow and it opens up better than when I have it getting blasted!

mine ( with 2 clowns "molesting it") seems to be quite fine ( however I dont know how much better it would be if the clowns didnt think it was home.... :-)

** it is in the bottom of my 120 with mid to low flow under 400w MH ... **

good luck with your Frogspawn

"seems to be quite fine"

"I dont know how much better it would be if the clowns didnt think it was home"

?

Your point was lost, evidently :)

my point is that it seems fine

I dont see any adverse affect of the clowns hosting it the frogspawn, it is healthy and fully extended....

HOWEVER I dont have the data to prove that they are not stunting the growth of the coral as they DO live in it ...

it is possible that if the clowns where not bothering the frogspawn that it may grow better.

let me go kill the clowns to see.... BRB

med-low flow and med. lighting. Lower light will get you better polyp extension, but it doesn't mean it is healthier, just needs more surface area to collect enough low light.

Clowns can damage the tissue and cause RTN in LPS if they get too aggressive.
