frogspawn

what would be the best way to frag a frog spawn that has 2 nice big branches on it? i have fraged softer corals before just making a quick straight cut with a really sharp razor but noting like this.

A dremel tool or a nipper to cut the branch towards the bottom. Be sure not to cut too high up and get the flesh.

i was going to cut it close to the Y section would just a regular cutting wheel on the dremel work or is there a better choice i dont want to screw this up its a really nice one.

I use my "dykes" or wire cutters from work and then use the dremel to clean up the break. But using just a dremel is just as good.

dremel's worked fine for me. I usually cut off a lot of the "stalk" part w/o problem since I don't want the flesh part sticking up so high, but if you're concerned, leave a lot of the stalk on it. Frogspawn is hard to damage unless you cook it at 99F- believe me I found out. :(

Dremel is a bit fancy for me, but it would definitely give you the best cut. Usually frogspawn branches break off when I don't want them to - but I've used tin snips to cut them where I wanted them.

thanks for the input it would be nice to see one on each side of the tank and it has grown pretty fast it surprised me by its grow rate.
