Update time
Well raised the salinity of the QT slowly, and sunday was the day to get the fish back to there home. Approx 7 and a bit weeks fallow for the DT and over a month in QT hypo (last bit being raising salinity back up) the remaining fish Naso Tang 2 chromis were ready to go back. All the fish started to act a lot more "normal" as the last few days of salinity became closer to the 1.025 the main tank is. All eating like pigs Zero sign of any sickness or ich and tang eating nori every other day.
Today was the 2nd day in the DT and everything is almost back to status quo, tang took a bit to settle in (i think the flow was big cause there was little flow in the QT) but all have settled in and showing no signs of stress or problems
I have learned A TON during this and inspite of it all has made me a way better hobbyist.
All in all i have came to a few conclusions
-Having something (QT )in place prior is paramount
-While ich killed 4 of my fish in the DT initially my denial and inaction probably killed 5 more as they got to sick to make it through the treatment
-While I had an ammonia badge and was testing and doing 50% WC every few days... in between WCs during the 2nd week that i had a ammonia spike from next to 0 the night before to over 2.5 in the course of 10 hours and didn't have enough water made up to do a proper water change and had to work which caused (what i think is most of the wrasses to die) I'm pretty sure the ich didn't kill all my wrasses as they never started to look bad till after that and they never seemed to recover from it
-So having a system in place and proper planning and preparation is huge
Thanks for all the help hope others can learn from what happened to me and prevent this or help them throughout the treatment process cause it is possible and its totally worth it even if i only saved the 3 fish
Thanks again
