From salifert to red sea test question.

I have been using salifert test kits for a while now...I ran out of my Cal Alk n mag tests a few weeks ago...I let my tank use up to much of everything meaning I didn't adjust my dosing after adding alot of coral like an idiot...so I got some red sea kits to try out...they say my Cal is 600 Alk is only 5 and my mag1500....nothing seems to be in bad shape or n e thing xcept my acans...what would make my coral use up WAAAAAY more Alk then cal? I'm gonna turn off my Cal dose till it comes down but just curious if n e 1 has experienced WAY different results between 2 diff test kits?

Salifert says I was 450 cal. 8.5-9 Alk and 1350 mag...but I haven't tested in months.
