GGGRR...found my nice coral beauty on the floor this morning. must have jumped out from the display overnight at some point.
right before xmas i also lost a saddleback clown from the QT the same way. and now the other saddleback doesnt look so good. :mad2:

on a better note, all my other fish are doing great.

i just needed to vent my frustration of loosing my favs.

needless to say ill be getting a cover for the tank in the next couple days.

Had a blue throat trigger that recently tried to make a run for it from an uncovered holding tank ...he didn't make it far. :(
Sorry to hear about the loss.

My Dogface puffer made it out of his tank - a little over 4 feet to the tile floor.

Found him on the floor, thought he was dead, but gave him a shot anyway, throwing him back in the tank. When he hit the water, he began to inflate. He swam into a hidey spot and eventually recovered.

cover your tank, it's the only way to stop this.

the worst thing is that it can happen with any fish at any given moment. very random.

sucks to walk in and find a fish you've had for two years or more dried up on the floor first thing to start the day.

you'll need to cover your tank.

Ya unfortunately had the trigger in a 150 rubbermaid while trying to change over to my new tank. Covers do work.

oh im getting one dont worry....learned my lesson the hard way. trying to find a egg-crate type plate to allow light in but keep fish in. i think i found what im looking for at a local hardware store....but im gonna keep looking to find something that specificaly meets my needs. should have something by tomorrow or the day after at the latest.

this realy blows.
what a way to start off a week...to wake up and find a dead fish on the floor

lesson learned

Must be the day for it. We woke up this morning and couldn't find our Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish (Rodney Dangerfish), found him this afternoon when we got home from work. He managed to jump out of a 1 1/2 inch gap in the back of the tank and landed in an empty bucket that we had used the night before when I did a water change on my Nano tank. Guess I should have been lazy and left the water in the bucket. I never dreamed he could jump his chunky butt out of a 1 1/2 inch gap. :( He had a lot of personality, and we are missing him bad.
