I've been having difficulty perfecting my fry tank lighting. Any suggestions. Here is what I have now. 1 pane of black acrylic(closest to the light) then a second pane (furthest way from the light, then white printer paper over the top to diffuse the light.

I find it hard to put light in the tank without showing the fry the source of the light.

I had trouble with this method as well
I put tank 3ft below 40 watt ceiling light and kept water green
the larva will tell you if you have to much light.
if they go to bottom ,to much.they only need enough light to see there food.
I currently use natural light and on cloudy days ill turn on the ceiling light

This works for me.i tint the water and then i put at 40w bulb florescent with a clip on from Walmart .i give them eenough light so they can see the rotifers day 15 i take it off and hit them full blast day 25+ I hit them with 38par led 3 blue 2 white looks like 20k
