fry trap help

dose anyone know what type of screen to use on a fry trap?
i was going to try to get those little bugers and give it a try ,
i saw 500--1000 fry get eated by my corals and fish

I use the nylon permanent coffee filters and made the larval snagger based on Joyce Wilkerson's book "Clownfishes..."

Hmm, Stephen, where did you find that synthetic coffee filter? I only seem to be able to find the gold plated permanent filters, and I'm not too keen on the price, or putting a metal into my tank (I've waited too long for them to spawn to kill them accidentally)..

Sorry for the delay in response.

I got this one at the grocery store, in the coffee isle. They do not seem to be as popular as they were last year when I got this one. In fact I gave up drinking coffee, and just decided to use this one for the fry.

Maybe look at the dollar general stores, and Sam's Club as well, I seem to remember seeing them there as well.

Thanks man.. I managed to find them online with the search term "nylon permanent coffee filter" in google.. The search term "permanent coffee filter" only turned up the gold plated ones..

Ordered mine today, clowns spawned last night, now does the filter get here before they hatch? That is the question LOL..

It doesnt matter too much on this clutch, I only started my phyto cultures monday, and rotifers wont be started till next week at the earliest. Gotta wait for the next clutch anyway, but I was hoping to perfect the snagger before I REALLY want to catch them..

What kind of light did you use to attract the larva to the siphon tube ? Can you also show me a photo of the pump-coffee filter-plastic jug housing ?
