We're selling our old saltwater reef tank -- this tank was set up and running for 5 years, we tore it down (moved stuff into a larger tank) about a year ago. I was traveling for work a lot at the time, every time someone was actually interested I was out of state, and they'd buy something else before I got home. We're moving in a few weeks and I really want this gone. $300 obo for everything.

This is a corner bowfront tank with overflow, from above it looks like 1/4 of a circle, and it's about 27" front to back. It has a built in overflow. It's a great tank for smaller spaces, we got this when we lived in an apartment and didn't have room for a regular rectangular tank. The tank also has great depth to it. It comes with pretty much the full setup for a reef tank, the one thing I want to make sure everyone knows in advance is that the stand needs some work, structurally it's fine but I'd reseal it before using it, and the inside base is not pretty. I'm throwing it in as is and not considering it in the price.

What's included:

  • 54 gallon All-Glass corner bowfront with overflow black trim
  • overflow drain and return, flexible drain hose
  • Oceanic black stand & canopy (see notes below)
  • Euro-Reef ES5-2 skimmer w/Sedra pump (see notes below)
  • 18 gallon custom glass sump w/acrylic dividers
  • 7 gallon glass bowfront topoff tank (no topoff pump included)
  • 250w SE Metal Halide pendant with ballast (see notes below)
  • (Includes XM bulb w/2 years use, still works but probably needs to be replaced, and a Ushio 10k 250w SE bulb with a few weeks use if I can find it.)
  • Mag Drive 9 return pump
  • Acrylic filter sock holder

Notes:

I haven't turned on anything in over a year now, it was all working then. You might need to let the pumps sit in diluted vinegar for a while to clean out any mineral deposits. Because I haven't tested any of this recently I'm now asking about half of what I was originally.

As noted above the stand has some internal water damage, mostly in the base but I would repaint it and maybe even reinforce it before using it again -- I'm throwing it in as is, for no charge, if you want it. The sump and topoff fit perfectly in this stand, they take up all the space. I've seen new stands (different models, my sump may or may not fit) at PetCo and a few local fish stores.

The skimmer was working great when we tore down the tank but the pump has a lot of hours on it. It was getting to be occasionally temperamental restarting so I think it may need a new impeller soon. The body is in great shape.

The Metal Halide light is a compact hanging fixture / pendant from Custom Sea Life. It was a 250w SE MH + 2x32w CF fixture when I got it, but the internal CF ballasts kept giving out, probably too warm in there for them to last long. So I removed those ballasts, now the second plug only powers the cooling fan. At one time I installed a CF retrofit kit (with external ballasts) and a second 12v fan, the fan is still on there but all the CF stuff is gone now (I used it in the new tank). There's room to add some 32w CFs or something similar if you want, the fixtures for two of them are still in there. I'd recommend running external ballasts though! I've got two bulbs for it around somewhere -- the XM 10k bulb has at least 2 years on it, so it's probably time to replace it. The Ushio 10k bulb had too warm of a color for my tastes, so I didn't use it for very long. I hear it's great for coral growth.

We're in Fremont near Fry's. Email if you're interested (don't pm, I probably won't see it until too late). Cash only, you'll need to come and pick it up.

I'll give you $100 for it lmk if your interested unsold a 92g corner a year ago for $100 w stand to a guy... If not no biggie
