Hi, fellow reefers,
I am selling my 55gallon RR tank with everything included, since I simply don't have any time to spend on the tank anymore. The tank is not getting the attention it used to get.
I am only considering to sell the whole thing as a package right now, and has no plan for parting out.
Here is what it has:
- 55 gallon acrylic tank. Blue background. Pictures are in my profile, under aquarium. Tank was bought used from another reefer here, and has been established and running since 2008 ish for me.
- Comes with stand and canopy. Canopy not shown in the picture but included (same color as stand). Nicely done with smooth corners and edges.
- Reef ready. One corner overflow. Two parts sump/fuge. Mag 9 return pump. Also has a spare Mag 7 not in use. Another in tank pump (attached to the right side wall) to help circulating, though I don't know the model.
- 230W (4x65) corallife power compact light. Has a few extra new bulbs sitting around.
- Euroreef protein skimmer in sump, don't recall the exact model. One that supports up to 135gallon if I call correctly.
- ViaAqua 250W titanium submersible heater in sump (bought it this year).
- ~70 lbs Fiji live rock in the tank, with good coralline coverage. Another ~20lbs tonga branch live rock in the fuge.
- ~100 lbs fine grain white live sand.
- Various accessories and various chemicals, and some spare parts that were never put in use. A little giant external pump.
Live stock include:
- around 80 heads nuclear green (as can be seen in the photo, in two large colonies). Very healthy and keep expanding.
- 3 RBTAs. Color was slowly fading out, need some feeding to recover.
- a proven mated pair of Ocellaris clownfish. 1 yellow tang. 2 blue chromis. All perfectly healthy and has been with me for over 2 years (both clown fishes have been with me since 2005 when they were babies).
- Some soft corals: mainly leather (a huge brown one and a small one with green polyps), mushroom.
Disclosure of any past or current issue:
- The collection cup of the skimmer was once broken, but completely fixed with glue (even before I bought it), and it has worked perfectly fine for me over the past 3 years without any leaking.
- A minor crack near the bottom rim of the tank, but there is absolutely no leak, and I have noticed its existence for a long time. I suspect it is just on the surface. So you can either bet on its service like I did, or if you are really the cautious type, put on some glue to fortify it.
- The overflow's drain pipe, the blue flexible plastic one, is old and does not fit the outlet perfectly, thus there is a very small leak in the form of slow droplets. I simply used another layer of plastic wrapping to drain any leak into the sump. Can use a replacement pipe in the future.
The system has been established and served me well for the past 3~4 years. I am selling it for $450, not parting out. Local pick up only.
