I have a total of 6 Blue Sol modules for sale that I have had over my two tanks (a 75 Gal - 2 modules and a 120 Gal - 4 modules). I have two AI controllers also. The 4 modules over my 120 are mounted on an AI 60 inch rail setup and the 2 modules over my 75 are mounted on a modified AI 48 inch rail setup. The mods that I did on the 48 inch setup had nothing to do with the AI Rails. I simply manufactured additional small rails that attach to the AI rails and allow me to mount the modules long-ways over the 75 (actually very proud of how that turned out and how much of an improvement it is over the standard AI configuration).
Yes, I am taking down my systems....moving soon.
I have sold all of my rock and livestock and now down to the lights and tanks.
The AI modules are great. Most SPS will grow well under these lights (the only one I had trouble with was Red Planet). LPS, my gigantea, two haddonis etc loved the lights. I love them for the color and also, very importantly, the energy savings. Each module can consume up to 73 watts of energy. Since I did not run them at full blast, I measured my power consumption per module at 52 watts. You don't want to run these things at full blast anyway. They will cook your corals. The lightening storms and rolling cloud effects are pretty cool. Two of the modules have 420 nm actinic stunner strips attached to them that I run all the time.
These modules have been running for 10 months and when/if I ever setup another tank, I will get these again.
I am asking $360.00 for each module. If there is someone that wants to buy what I have as they are currently configured (2 over the 75 with controller and 48 inch rails.....and 4 over the 120 with a controller and 60 inch rails) I will discount the controller and rails.
If rails and controllers are sold separately, prices are as follows:
60 inch rails: $50.00
48 inch rails with mods: $50.00
Controller (qty 2): $50.00 each
Oh, did I mention that the life of the LED's are estimated to be about 11 years (@ full power)? Running these lights at lower power, which is normal and recommended, will allow them to last even longer. No more buying bulbs MH or T5 ever 6 months or every year! These save money on electricity and also bulb costs!
I replaced Metal Halide fixtures with these lights and have been saving over $100.00 per month since on my electric bills.
Here is the link to the OEM so you can check the specs.
