FS: Bartlett Anthias

I added a trio of ventralis anthias and my male bartlett was giving them a hard time. While I'd love to keep both trios, I just don't see it working out. Currently planning on keeping the other two females but if someone really wants all three, I'll do my best to get the other two out.

Right now, I've only caught and the male, which I'll sell for $35. Very healthy super male. There's a clear female that "pairs" (anthias don't exactly pair up) and another sub-male that gets along alright. Will sell the trio for $100 if you give me time to catch them all. Or I'd sell the super male and female for $65.

Only going to give this a few days until the male goes to the store for trade-in as I don't like keeping him in the sump and don't want to put him in my hospital tank.

Here are a few pictures:

What are the odds that any one of them will get along with my solitary Lyretail Anthias? The Bartlett's are beautiful but I feel I have a duty to my Lyretail.

I have a trio of Barletts right now, how will it go if I introduce 3 more? If its okay, I am very interested.

Allen, is your lyretail male or female? If it's a male, I'd say it might be a little high energy in there and could be too much chasing. If female, I'd say it should be alright -- especially in your size tank. The male bartlett will hold his own in a high energy tank since he's a very good eater.

I'd say it depends on the dynamic of the trio you already have and the size of your tank. If they're three females or a mix of females and very sub-male, I'd say it would be a pretty amazing harem. One option would be to add just the super male to see how it goes and then add the other two females if/when I can catch them. Adding females isn't usually too much of an issue. Acclimation box could help too.

Mid-week bump-date (see what I did there?): Lots of interest in the trio but the two females are getting along pretty well together and with the ventralis so I'm likely just going to be selling the single male. $35 until this weekend, then he's going to the store.

Thanks!
