I got a Deep cycle Battery from Costco, connected a charger (Managed by timer) & Connected the output to my Vortech.
Works Perfect! 4 times longer life than Vortech battery backup.
The Deep cycle battery still has 6 more months of warranty from Costco
I have used the same setup for my Tunze as well as Vortech & this is a great peace of mine! I sold the pumps, so the battery is up for sale. I still have another pump that I use.
