FS - Brand New Custom-Made 155G Oceanic Tank and Stand - Peninsula Style

I have a brand new, never used, custom-made Oceanic tank I am considering selling. It is 155G - Dimensions are 60"L x 24"W x 25"H

This was a custom job made by Oceanic. I had them build it with a single overflow centered on one of the shorter ends - this was so that the tank could be used peninsula-style or as a room-divider viewable on 3 sides. The overflow is drilled with 4 holes - 2 accept 1" bulkheads and 2 accept 3/4" bulkheads. Those of you who are familar with Oceanic might also know that their tanks come with nicer trim than your standerd tank, plus slightly thicker glass and neater silicone-work. In addition, this tank has a matching black oak stand (also never used).

Oceanic warrants their tanks for 5 years, I believe, as long as you use one of their stands with it. Anyone who buys this will be provided with the sales receipt so they have a record of the sale and therefore the warranty info.

I do not want to make any money from this tank, but I do want to sell it at my cost. However, my cost was a wholesale cost from a LFS. We were doing a mutual 'help me' - 'help you' agreement. I was helping them drum up some business for a new place and providing a handful of coral frags here and there - they were helping me out with a beautiful new tank at their cost.

The tank is not cheap - $1250 total for tank, stand, covers, plumbing. But I wont sell any less (I'd rather keep it). So serious inquiries only please. If you are seriously looking for something like this, just contact Oceanic or a LFS in your area and have them price out a similar tank and stand for you. I think you'll find that they want in the neighborhood of 1600-1700 for it.

Ohh, BTW, I'm only getting rid of it (maybe) because we may be building a new house. With a new building come new options I hadnt considered before. So, things are sort of up in the air for me.

I have this tank non-custom, with regular overflows. Assuming it is an Oceanic stand, this is a terrific price on a great tank. I paid that amount for my tank and stand only, and it was not custom. I sure wish this had been up when I was buying!

ostrow- thanks for the support. to answer your question, it IS a matching Oceanic stand. Black oak trim around the tank top and base, to match the black oak stand. I believe our tanks might be slightly different, though. I think you might have a 150RR - what are the dimensions? This one is actually a 155G and the size is sort of unique because it is 5 ft long and 2 ft wide. It was not a typical sized tank that Oceanic makes as a reef ready (i think they DO make this size tank in one of their different lines), which is part of the reason why it is considered custom (the other part is because of how I positioned the oveflow). But I'm sure that at least you know the workmanship involved in these tanks.

I dont think I have pics available right now. I have pics of an Oceanic 75G with the same style stand and trim around the tank, if that would help. I can try to get pictures, but I cant get them right away. A few months after I realized I would not be setting this tank up anytime soon, I bought the whole thing back into a utility room to get it out of the way. It is all wrapped up in plastic and canvas blankets. I could uncover it to take pics, but honestly, I dont think I could do it justice considering it's placement right now, on the floor of my darkly lit utility room. And it's just TOO HEAVY to carry out just to take pics. It's going to have to stay put until someone buys it or I eventually decide, "what the heck, i'll set it up" :)

Mine is in fact 155 5x2x2 and it is not custom since April 05. Became a stock tank. With dual overflows on the back. I waited for it to go regular as obviously the price dropped.
