FS: Candycane Wrasse

I'm planning to reduce the number of fish in my tank. I've 2 candycane wrasse available for $20 each. They're about 3-4" in length and feed on frozen food & flakes.

BTW - I get the better looking of the 2 (if there is such a thing with 2 equally awesome looking specimens). Paul will just have to understand and deal. ;)

wow, mike is a bold one ;)

are these fish reef safe? just curious, I've heard about a wrasse that looks similar that may not be.

Mike - I can bring it to the meeting if you want it.

Kinetic - I've them in my sps tank with snails, cleaner shrimp and clams. So far, no issue. I fed them twice a day with frozen mysis and formula 1 flakes. I think these wrasses are still juvenile, when they're adult, they could be not reef safe.

These are Hologymnosus rhodonototus. HCS3 wrote an article about them for reefkeeping.com, and they are most certainly not reef safe in typically sized tanks when adults. They'll kill snails, shrimp, clams, small fish, you name it. They need a lot of swimming room, become very aggressive and max out at 13". Imagine a lunare wrasse on steroids.
