OK, so I have a few fish that aren't falling in line with my breeding plans, so I want to try to offer them up locally and NOT hand them over to the LFS's...the never give you what they're worth.
First up is a possible pair of Red Sea Mimic Blennies, Ecsenius graveri. They are a POSSIBLE male/female pair, and one of them has laid eggs twice; I cannot say if they were fertilized or not, but hey, there should be a female in there. The pair originally "got along" but when we moved the tanks and set them back up in mid March, the pair stopped getting along. I've kept them isolated, tried to reintroduce them a couple times, but overall they're just not happy in the 24 gallon cube anymore. I paid $60 + shipping for them originally, I've had an offer for $75 from across the country, but would prefer to see these go locally, and preferably to someone who's interested in trying to breed and rear them. Make me an offer.
The other is 2 known male Apogon margaritophorus, aka. "Lattice Cardinalfish" - basically white with orange stripes. These are the 2 males from my reverse trio...the female kicked the bucket after being eggbound for a month. I've decided rather than search for new females to simply give up on this species for now; having so many cardinals in a 24 gallon tank is though to be part of the reason my Bangaii's won't hold to term. I don't really care where these guys head off to...anyone's tank will do, but hey, if you're thinking about trying a "harder" cardinalfish to breed, this one is rather common in dealer tanks and you have 2 known males (extra males are a good thing in cardinalfish breeding). I only paid around $15 each for them...would ideally like to get around the same for them.
I can be reached via email at matt@cichlidrecipe.com, or just shoot me a PM here. Again, I'd prefer a local pickup or to meet up somewhere in the Chicago area, thus why I'm posting this on the CMAS forums.
If you guys absolutely need pics, I have them, but honestly, they're not really necessary and I have other things to do than dig them up yet again to post them...the fish are perfect examples of the species.
