FS- Complete Reef Ready 55 gallon system - $350

AZBigJohn

Usually confused...
I am selling my 55 gallon system. This was my original set up that got me into reefing, so it has some years on it. As a matter of fact, it is so much a part of me, that this is the tank that is currently my avatar!

This would be perfect for someone just getting into reefing, or someone wanting to get bigger than a Nano, but still stay on a budget "“ Do not want to part out

This setup includes:

"¢ 55 gallon Marineland tank - Tank is 6 years old, has some decent scratches you can't see when clean, but when algae grown on glass, you can. Has never been resealed, never leaked.
"¢ Black Marineland standard 2-door stand - genuine pressed-board quality. Still sturdy after 6 years. Has a couple areas with some "swell-spots" from water spills, but truly is rock solid.
"¢ MarineLand Reef-Read TripleBright LED lights- grew Soft corals and LPS without any trouble. I had a couple SPS frags on the top that did okay. Light has integrated timer that turns on actinics or whites or both, you cannot change intensity.
"¢ HOB overflow and 2 "jump covers" made from egg crate, thermometer, glass magnet
"¢ Jaebo WP-25 Powerhead - Motor replaced 2 months ago under warranty (so in essence brand new)
"¢ 30 gallon 3-compartment sump with filter sock holder (I don't use filter socks, but have one I can throw in)
"¢ Reef Octopus NWB-110 skimmer (2 years old) - skims like a beast!
"¢ RIO 3100 return pump (8 months old)
"¢ Auto top-off.com ATO - (only 2 months old). My previous one lasted 5 years, and only went bad because I dropped the electronics in the water!
"¢ Also included approximately 80 pounds of coraline-covered live rock, and 40 pounds of live sand. (please read caveats below pictures

The tank is blue because the actinics just cut on, the blue bucket is my current ATO container.

Now the caveats I mentioned!

The GSP coral and the Frogspawn coral are not included in the deal. The large sinularia leather in the middle might be negotiable if you are are truly interested in it.

I have battled bubble algae and aptasia in this tank mercilessly. I have beaten aptasia in the display tank, although there is still some in the sump I have been unable to eradicate. I have given up on the bubble algae. This rock and sand is beautiful, and full of life, but it is also full of bubble algae. I want to be completely and fully open on that point.

If you buy this tank by this Friday, I am on vacation, and could probably be encouraged to help break everything down and load it into my pickup to help move everything!
