I know LED's are all the rage and I got them too. But if anyone is looking into getting into reefs cheap I have a Hamilton pendant dual 250 Metal Halide setup with dual icecap 250watt electronic ballast in an aluminum case.
Would be great for your frag tank if its 48" long. The lighting itself is 48".
$100 local pickup in San Francisco.
One of the wires got yanked out of the socket at the ballast. this would need to get fixed but I can probably demo the lights. 2 OLD MH radiums are already in the fixture.
This could be a perfect parts lighting too. The icecap ballast have fairly low usage on them. Thats $50 per ballast! This setup for sale is cheaper then the bulbs! I just want it out of my garage.
